Truly, what can be said. This is my favorite day in New York and it is such an honor to be a part of this massive, massive citywide effort. 53,000 participants, 1M spectators, 11,000 volunteers, 6,000 activated officers, broadcast elements, done in all five boroughs. 2022 would have been my sixth year contributing to this operation, continuing to manage the Ft. Wadsworth and VZ Bridge footprint. Words can’t describe what goes into this show and what it’s like seeing it in action. Massive effort, massive reward.

In partnership with Front Runners of NY, World Pride, and Guinness Book of World Records, 2019’s Front Runner’s LGBT Pride Run in Central Park became the largest charitable LGBTQ race in history. 10,239 runners doing 5M into a festival in the Naumburg Bandshell space. Celebrating World Pride on the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. Big highlight of my career organizing this event and raising money for The Center in NYC.

Creating the idea, the UX design, and contributing to the beta testing of a feature specifically mentioned in the org’s fourth Media Posts’s APPY Award in the Entertainment and Sports category for The 2019 TCS NYC Marathon App. This feature allowed a marathon spectator tracking a runner to create a public transportation itinerary to see their runner at multiple spots along the course - showcasing more boroughs and providing a guide for spectators new to the city. Really happy this one got done. I think it’s a fun feature in our marathon app.

The Midnight Run is an NYRR New Years Eve tradition where 5,000 runners close off Central Park and run a 4M loop under fireworks. NYRR is one of two organizations that setoff fireworks in Central Park in a calendar year; and we do it twice. I got to do it this last year organizing this event and had a great time doing so. Cider, LED backdrops, miles of fence lines and security teams - this event has it all.

28,000 runners running the streets of Brooklyn. I love showing off my borough. This is a really fun, non-competitive event starting at the Brooklyn Museum and ending in Coney Island. Again, huge, huge effort = huge, huge reward.

25,000 runners taking off from Prospect Park going over the Manhattan Bridge, through the LES and Times Square all the way to Central Park. It’s another huge effort across two different boroughs but leave it to NYRR and the city of New York to get it done. First time I ever saw Times Square completely empty was while producing this event onsite.

Technical Direction on the Live from the NYPL series and podcast from 2012 - 2016. Notable discussions with Mr. Paul Holdengraber included Jay-Z, Warren Buffet, Tom Brokaw, Ted Turner, Malcolm Gladwell, Patti Smith, Elvis Costello, Shaquille O’Neil, Ralph Nader, Salman Rushdie, Ira Glass /w Nico Muhly, Mike Tyson, and Neil Gaiman among others.

Technical Direction and production on countless panel discussions, corporate presentations, conferences, film screenings in partnership with the Museum of Arts and Design. Clients included MTV, CMT, TV of Tomorrow, Magnolia Pictures and notable presenters I got to work with included Debbie Harry, Alejandro Jodorowski, & Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Huge honor meeting them all.

In collaboration with the World Science Foundation, NASA, NYU, and JPL - designed, programmed and installed a 3-D sound environment that would track moving satellites and simulate the sound of them passing in an outdoor seating orb.

Designed and installed 5 audio zones, 58 screens, and an event capable AV system for Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier’s restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen. It’s a crazy place. And he couldn’t be a nicer dude. Very fun project. Managed the venue’s events calendar afterwards. Lot of post Knicks game parties and Bar Mitzvahs.

Designed and installed 3-D sound environment zones for the Marimekko flagship store. Nature inspired, we created zones to simulate tropical, forrest, and beach sound environments for different sections of the store.

In high school, my friends, my Mom and I raised awareness, funds, and worked directly with the local Parks Dept, Recreation Boards, CTPD, and local orgs/business to build a skatepark in my hometown. Took about five years from inception to completion in 2005 - but the park is still there to this day. Taught me a love of public service and an understanding of how much tenacity is needed to effect change at a local level.

Pursued music as a discipline from age 13 - 23, studying jazz at NYU as the only bass player they accepted in my year. Performed with jazz notables including John Scofield, Bernie Worrell, Richard Bona, Cecil Taylor, & Lenny Picket. Later recorded and toured with bands opening for The Fray, A Place to Bury Strangers, The Stills, Saosin, among others. I still play and write but not professionally.
